Sending Gifts to Iran from Canada: How Artooka Works
If you have not sent a gift to someone in Iran before, it is reasonable to want to know exactly what happens. This page walks through it step by step.
What actually happens
- You choose a gift from Canada and pay for it in Canadian or US dollars.
- Artooka places and pays for that order with one of its network florists in the recipient's city.
- The florist prepares the gift and delivers it to the recipient's address.
What Artooka is not
Artooka is not a remittance or money transfer service. No funds are moved to the recipient, and a recipient cannot take cash instead of the gift. Nor is Artooka a marketplace of independent sellers: you buy from Artooka, and Artooka is responsible for the order.

- What exactly am I paying for?
- A specific gift - the bouquet, cake or item you chose - and its delivery to the recipient's address in Iran. You are buying goods, and nothing else.
- Is Artooka a money transfer service?
- No. Artooka does not move money to the recipient and there is no way to send cash through it. The recipient receives a gift, not funds.
- Who am I buying from?
- From Artooka. Artooka buys the flowers or gift from a local florist in Iran and sells it to you. Your contract is with Artooka, and Artooka handles support for the order.
- What currency do I pay in?
- Canadian or US dollars, whichever you prefer. The amount shown at checkout is the amount you pay.
- Does the recipient have to pay anything?
- No. The price covers the gift and its delivery, and nothing is collected from the recipient on arrival.
